Full Time. - Permanent Position - an average of 35 hours per week. £14 per hour.

Hours of work:

Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm

Friday, 9 am to 2 pm

Finish time may vary slightly depending on bookings, traffic and cleanup. In summertime, we finish around 4.30 pm

About Us:

We are a specialised, rapidly growing company that provides Cockapoo Adventures in Dulwich and the surrounding areas. We collect the dogs using our fully kitted-out vans and take them on morning and afternoon 80-minute adventures to different parks, woods, and nature areas. During the adventures, the dogs are engaged in stimulating activities and dog manners training, and we have a robust safety system in place. Full training will be provided, and new staff members will work alongside fully trained team members. A positive and caring attitude is a must :)

Job Description:

To be eligible for this job, you must love, be passionate and have experience working with or training dogs. Have an understanding of positive training techniques and build strong bonds with dogs. Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Reliability and a willingness to learn are essential. You will need to have a good fitness level as we walk up to 10k daily and be strong enough to lift dogs up to 15kg into crates and heavy cleaning equipment in and out of the vans. The position involves significant driving as one of your responsibilities will be to collect the Cockapoos, drive them to the adventure location, take them out on their adventure, clean and dry them, and then safely drop them off at home. The business provides vans, insurance and all equipment.

To apply, you must meet the following requirements:

All applicants must have:

  • Minimum of 5 years clean UK driving license.
  • A confident and courteous driver and be comfortable driving a small van.
  • Confident handling four dogs on and off the lead.
  • Demonstrate that you can deliver excellent customer service and must be fluent in English.
  • Willing to commit to the role for a minimum of 12 months in order to maintain good client relationships and strong bonds with the dogs.
  • Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions all day.
  • Well-presented. A uniform will be provided.
  • Able to demonstrate that you are reliable and trustworthy.
  • Comfortable using technology as we use various apps to run the service.
  • Passionate about dogs.
  • A kind and caring individual towards animals (and their humans).
  • Organised with good time management.
  • Able to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Good working in both small teams and alone.
  • Focused, as working with dogs can be unpredictable.
  • Fit and healthy as the role will demand walking up to 10k a day, cleaning the dogs and lifting them into the crates (up to approx.15 kgs).
  • Willing to undergo a DBS police check and employment references check.
