Pure Aluminium is looking for a Trainee Window & Door Installer to join our growing installation team.

This is a genuine training position, so previous window, door or construction experience is not required. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, a willingness to learn and an interest in developing a long-term skilled career.

You will work alongside experienced members of our installation team and receive full on-the-job training in the installation of windows, doors and aluminium glazing systems.

Initially, you will assist experienced installers while learning the correct methods and standards required by Pure Aluminium. As your skills and confidence develop, you will gradually take on more responsibility and complete more aspects of installations independently.

The role will include:

• Assisting with the installation of aluminium windows, doors, bifolding doors and sliding door systems
• Learning how to correctly position, level, fix and install frames
• Learning glazing techniques and the safe handling of glass
• Removing existing windows and doors where required
• Preparing openings ready for installation
• Learning finishing techniques including trims, sealing and making good
• Loading and unloading windows, doors, glass, tools and materials
• Looking after tools, equipment and company vehicles
• Keeping customers' properties and working areas clean and tidy
• Following company health and safety procedures
• Working on a mixture of residential and commercial projects
• Developing an understanding of our products, installation methods and quality standards

Applicants must have a full UK driving licence or their own reliable form of transport to ensure they can get to work and to agreed meeting points when required.

Training & Progression

Full training will be provided by experienced members of our installation team.

You will progressively learn areas including:

• Window and door installation
• Aluminium glazing systems
• Glass handling and glazing
• Correct use of installation tools
• Sealants and finishing
• Measuring and setting out
• Building regulation requirements
• Health and safety
• Working at height
• Customer service and professional site conduct

This is intended to be a long-term career opportunity, not simply a labouring position.

As your skills, competence and responsibility increase, there will be opportunities to progress within Pure Aluminium and move towards becoming a fully skilled Window & Door Installer.

Pay and responsibility will increase as your skills and ability develop.

Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
