Experienced Window/Door Fitter Required

Location: South West London, Middlesex, Surrey, Bedfordshire, Berkshire & Buckinghamshire
Pay: £150–£300 per day, depending on experience and type of work

About the Role

Vu Windows is looking for an experienced Window & Door Installer to support our growing installation workload across London and the surrounding counties.

We are looking for a skilled, reliable fitter with experience installing uPVC and aluminium windows, doors and bifold doors to a high standard.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their workmanship, works efficiently and can think on their feet when dealing with challenges during removal and installation. We value people who are professional, easy-going and committed to delivering an excellent finish for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install uPVC and aluminium windows and doors to a high standard.
  • Fit bifold doors and associated hardware.
  • Carry out careful removal of existing windows and doors.
  • Ensure installations are correctly aligned, sealed, finished and operating properly.
  • Identify and resolve installation issues on-site using sound practical judgement.
  • Complete finishing and making-good work where required.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working area and protect customers' properties.
  • Work professionally with customers and the VU Windows team.
  • Ensure work is completed safely and in line with relevant installation standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience fitting windows and doors is essential.
  • Experience with uPVC and aluminium systems.
  • Experience installing bifold doors.
  • Own van and appropriate tools required.
  • Full, valid driving licence required.
  • Reliable, punctual and organised, with a strong work ethic.
  • Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
  • Positive attitude, practical problem-solving skills and a team-focused approach.

Pay & Working Arrangements

  • £150–£300 per day, depending on experience, skills and the work involved.
  • Price work available for fitters who prefer to work on an agreed price per installation.
  • Work across South West London, Middlesex, Surrey, Bedfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
