Location: Colchester, Ipswich, Braintree, Sudbury or surrounding areas based Mobile (predominantly home counties) and to be based and travel to sites from within Essex/Suffolk

Duration: Permanent

Advertised pay is inclusive of average overtime. Overtime which is applicable after the first 8 hours of the day. The working day is calculated door-to-door. The company operates a bonus scheme that is performance-related and is payable to the employee's pension.

Average week (Monday - Friday): 37.5-hour standard plus 20 hours of overtime

We are looking for a Pipe Fitter to join our growing Mechanical team.

This position will cover a range of Commercial and Industrial sites completing various pipework installations from direct instruction to working from plans where required, assisting with insurance preparation of pressure systems including steam and high-temperature applications, whilst operating within a well established friendly team of engineers, reporting directly to an Mechanical Supervisor/Engineering Manager.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years experience within the Commercial Plumbing and Heating sector.
• Full UK driving licence.
• DBS application ready or Enhanced level 1 clearance (Hospitals, Schools, Prisons etc vetting ability essential).
• Experienced in the installation of Carbon steel (screwed, press and pre-fab welded), Victaulic, MDPE and Copper (brazing, soldering and press).
• Holding a minimum of City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Pipe Fitting and Assembly).
• Based within Essex/Suffolk and must be willing to travel when required.
• Must be willing to stay away when needed (with notice).
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Installation of Pump sets, Valves and Pipework
