Full-time – 40 hours per week

There’s more to being a Fitter than simply putting up curtains and blinds - it’s about creating spaces our customers love to live in. If you enjoy solving problems, working independently, and making people smile, this could be the perfect role for you. You ’ll be the friendly face our customers remember.
Whether you’ve worked in retail, hospitality, or customer service, your people skills will shine here just as much as your knack for “getting things done.” If you’re hands-on, personable, and love making a difference, we’ll support you every step of the way with the more practical aspects to the role. You ’ll be out and about, visiting customers in their homes to help turn their ideas into reality and be part of those “ wow ” moments when everything comes together. It’s a role where you get to make someone’s day (and their window!) amazing.
If you’ve ever hung a picture straight or tackled a flat-pack without tears, you’re already on the right track. But if tools aren’t your thing (yet), don ’t worry! We ’ll teach you everything you need to know. You don ’t need to have a trade background to thrive in this role. We welcome people from all walks of life, especially those who’ve built strong people skills and want to learn something new.
“I came from a retail background and had never picked up a drill before. The training was brilliant, and now I love being out on the road, meeting customers and making their homes look amazing.” —Jamie, Made to Measure Fitter

We’ll kit you out with:

  • Use of company van whilst you're at work
  • A full tool kit - we’ll supply everything you need
  • A fuel card so you’re never out of pocket
  • Full training on our products, systems, and customer service approach
  • A supportive team and a business that’s big on development and progression

What you'll be doing

  • Be customer obsessed – consistently consider the impact of your actions on the customer experience, and strive to deliver joyful experiences in the most effective and thoughtful way
  • Visit customers’ homes to carry out professional curtain and blind fittings as part of our Made to Measure service
  • Consistently deliver exceptional customer service to support strong CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) scores, ensuring every customer receives a welcoming, helpful, and memorable experience
  • Measure windows accurately to ensure a perfect fit for every product
  • Install a range of window dressings with precision and care
  • Deliver a warm, professional service that puts customers at ease and leaves a lasting impression
  • Manage your own schedule and plan your day efficiently to meet appointment times

  • Handle basic customer queries on-site and escalating any issues where needed
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and working tidily and respectfully in customers’ homes
  • Represent the Dunelm brand with pride, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset

What we'll look for in you

  • What you’ll need: A full UK driving license – you ’ll be out and about, so being able to drive is essential.
  • Great with people you know how to make someone feel comfortable, whether you’re having a friendly chat or helping them transform their space.
  • Handy is helpful–if you’ve used a drill or tape measure before, brilliant! If not, we’ll teach you. We hire for attitude and potential.
  • A sharp eye – you spot the little things that make a big difference and take pride in doing a job properly.
  • A friendly, can-do vibe you’re approachable, professional, and always happy to help.
  • Flexibility – you ’re open to the occasional evening or weekend to suit customer needs.
  • People-facing experience (bonus!)–retail, hospitality, care… if you’ve worked with people, you ’ re already halfway there
