Job Summary:

OT Services are seeking a skilled and versatile Multi Trade professional to join our team, As a Multi Trade Engineer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry, painting, plumbing, masonry, plaster boarding and general construction.

This is a hands-on role that requires proficiency in multiple trades and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a high level of carpentry skills, experience in a similar role, an understanding of other core trades and excellent communication skills.

This is a reactive job roll so excellent written and verbal communication is a must, You will be directly lasing with site contacts, clients and the office.

A driving license is essential for the role as the successful applicant will have access to a vehicle, for company use. The working area can vary but will include PO/SO/GU postcodes.

Responsibilities & Skills:

• Construction and installation of structures and fixtures
• Experience in carpentry work including fire doors, framing, installation, and finishing
• Measure, cut or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials
• Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures
• Ability to complete plumbing tasks such as pipe installation and repair, and carry out diagnostic tasks
• Painting & decorating skills including surface preparation, basic plastering work and paint application
• Understanding of roofing systems and ability to perform repairs
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to complete projects
• Diagnose and rectify faults within core and other trades related repair requests
• Undertake all work efficiently and cost effectively, minimizing non-productive time wherever possible and reporting any difficulties encountered
• Apply applicable Health & Safety rules in all you do, using risk assessments, method statements and PPE when needed
• Be willing to work out of hours, if required, to the requirements of the client
• Experience with reactive repairs & property maintenance
• Ability to effectively communicate with the office to ensure works are completed on time and with the appropriate information provided to pass on to clients
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Apply relevant Health & Safety rules in all you do, using risk assessments, method statements and PPE when needed
• Be willing to work out of hours, if required, to the requirements of the client
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently, and also able to lone-work where needed
• Full and clean driving license, held for a minimum of 3 years
• Able to pass a DBS check
• Must be registered self-employed with a UTR number
• Must be CIS registered
