Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fire Door Installer to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and ensuring the proper functioning of fire doors in compliance with safety standards. Your expertise will help safeguard properties and occupants by providing expert installation and maintenance of fire-resistant door systems.

Duties

  • Install fire doors according to manufacturer specifications, schematics, and safety regulations
  • Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and power tools to ensure precise fitting
  • Inspect existing fire doors for damage or non-compliance and perform necessary repairs or replacements
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate installation schedules and site safety protocols
  • Fabricate or modify door components as needed using welding, carpentry, or masonry skills
  • Maintain detailed records of installations, inspections, and repairs for compliance purposes
  • Follow all safety guidelines during installation processes to prevent accidents and ensure quality standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction-related fields such as carpentry, masonry, or fabrication
  • Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and installation instructions
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and construction machinery
  • Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, plastering, and construction painting is a plus
  • Ability to read technical schematics and interpret safety regulations related to fire door installation
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if necessary
  • Accredited Fire door installer (i.e. Blue sky)
