Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Fire Door Installer and play a vital role in enhancing building safety and security. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and ensuring the proper functioning of fire-resistant doors across various construction sites and facilities. Your expertise will help protect lives and property by delivering high-quality installation services with precision and efficiency. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of construction skills, and contribute to safety standards that matter.

Duties

  • Install fire-rated doors according to schematics, technical drawings, and safety regulations
  • Measure, cut, and fit door frames using hand tools and power tools to ensure perfect alignment
  • Securely fasten doors with appropriate hardware, hinges, locks, and seals for optimal fire resistance
  • Conduct thorough inspections of installed doors to verify compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
  • Collaborate with team members to fabricate custom components or modify existing structures as needed
  • Maintain detailed records of installations, inspections, and repairs for quality assurance purposes
  • Assist in the repair or replacement of damaged or malfunctioning fire doors to uphold safety protocols

Skills

  • Proven experience in fire door installation to a high standard.
  • Strong knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and installation instructions
  • Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., drills, screwdrivers) and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Own van/transport is a must.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail to ensure precise installations
  • Knowledge of FIRAS or BMTrada standards related to fire door installation is a requirement
