Fire Door Installer’s Assistant

Location: Poole (Travelling to sites across the South West and UK)
Salary: Competitive
Job Type: Full-Time

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Fire Door Installer’s Assistant to join our growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a carpentry or construction background who is looking to gain experience within the fire protection industry and work alongside experienced installers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting fire door installers on commercial and residential projects
  • Recording completed works accurately with photographs and reports
  • Loading/unloading materials and preparing work areas
  • Supporting with installation and remedial works on fire doors
  • Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Keeping sites clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards
  • General finishing to and around doorsets
  • Travelling to sites across the South West and UK

Requirements

  • Previous construction, carpentry, or labouring experience preferred
  • Right to work UK
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Must be polite, professional, and respectful when dealing with residents and clients
  • Must have own basic hand tools
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Must be willing to travel and stay away when required
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
