JOB TITLE

Field Quality and Technical Liaison Engineer

JOB LOCATION

Leeds and National Field

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Provide Quality and Technical communication & liaison between Franchisees and the Business to drive improved Customer experiences and Franchisee / Factory performance through Field auditing, training, knowledge transfer and developing SOPs, methodologies and troubleshooting guides whilst supporting the provision of an 0800 to 1900 Quality & Technical Service Centre to Franchisees in rota with other Engineers.

POSITION DETAILS

Provide support for all field and Help Desk activity and the installation of "large doors".

Create a high performing technical support function

  • Provide Self-help content and verbal Quality & Technical support
  • Support an 0800 to 1900 Quality & Technical Support Line on a Rota with other Engineers
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on faults and failures to reach robust solutions
  • Attend internal Field Quality & Technical Liaison Reviews to coordinate Field issues

Manage new Franchisee technical and systems training programme

  • Develop and deliver Franchisee Training based on your own experience, Audits, Ratings, Quality & Technical performance and liaison between Factory and Franchisees
  • Build library of Field SOPs, knowledge of product & components, troubleshooting guides, method statements, H&S Risk Assessments within an Online Franchisee Handbook & Installation Guide including videos of installation techniques
  • "Sign-off" Franchisee Quality & Technical Competence after 6 months assessing & training
  • Support development of training and online courses for new Doors, their components and additional products

Define & implement Best Practice Field Quality for Franchisee Installs

  • Develop a suitable standard for Franchisee Facilities & Vans
  • Perform audits on Franchisee Facilities & Vans to ensure storage & carriage are adequate
  • Actively Audit Quality within Customer Aftercare service that audits Franchisee capability, highlights training, measures performance, develops a direct relationship with Customers
  • Support the improvement of Quality & Technical Competence standards between Franchisees & Factory
  • Support the development of Franchisee Performance Rating to include Quality Performance, Technical Competence, State of Facilities & Van, Network Support, etc..
  • Provide input from the Field to drive Factory process improvements

``WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of Door product and assembly materials
  • Knowledge of Installation process and troubleshooting
  • Experience of working & communicating remotely
  • Experience of performance monitoring and auditing
  • Experience of developing work procedures

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Can-do attitude
  • Comfortable with technical detail and developing improvement plans
