Full job description

We are seeking an experienced Groundworker/Builder to join our site teams on a permanent basis. The role is ideal for someone reliable, hardworking and confident in carrying out a wide range of groundwork and general building tasks on varied sites.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Pay: £18-£20 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Location: West Midlands (Birmingham, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Warwick and surrounding areas) Will be required to work away on occasion.
  • Work Location: In person

Responsibilities:

  • Site preparation, setting out from a drawing and checking levels
  • Excavation works including foundations, pits and bases
  • Below/above ground drainage installation, trenching, ducting and service connections
  • Concrete pours and minor tarmac reinstatement works
  • Laying PCC slabs and groundwork for modular cabin installations
  • Operating plant machinery (Excavator, Dumper, Roller)
  • Reading and working from site drawings and plans
  • Ensuring health & safety standards are followed at all times
  • Basic plumbing/carpentry preferred

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Groundworker/Builder
  • CPCS or NPORS (Excavator ticket required)
  • SMSTS Required
  • Ability to read drawings and work to levels
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety
  • CSCS
  • Full UK Driving Licence (required)
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
  • Additional tickets (IPAF, PASMA) an advantage
  • Will be asked to work away occasionally
