The Role
We are looking for a skilled, reliable Carpenter to join our Passive Fire team in Sheffield. You may have worked as a Carpenter, Joiner, Fire Door Installer, Door Fitter or Door Measurer.

As Carpenter, you will:

• Install fire doors across various Ventro projects to a high standard of quality and workmanship
• Accurately measure doors and frames ahead of manufacture and installation, recording measurements clearly so doors can be ordered and fitted correctly
• Ensure all work is evidenced through the Riskbase app
• Meet health and safety regulations and best practice standards at all times
• Accept and move deliveries in line with health and safety requirements
• Make appropriate use of all materials, tools and resources
• Conduct maintenance of fire doors in order to maintain compliance

What We're Looking For

• Skilled carpentry, especially fitting fire doors
• Carpentry Level 2 NVQ or above
• Valid Fire Door CSCS card and asbestos awareness
• Accurate measuring and maintainance of doors and frames
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations and best practice on site
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Able to use a smartphone to update the Riskbase app
• Willing to travel between project sites
• First aid skills, experience on fire safety or passive fire projects, and door/frame surveying experience are welcome but not essential

Reliable, takes pride in high-quality compliant work, and proactive in raising quality or safety issues.
