Full job description

FRA Carpenters required in Horsham, West Sussex.

They are responsible for executing a wide range of construction and renovation tasks on-site, specialising in carpentry and related trades. This role involves working on diverse projects that require precision, technical skill, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction, with experience Fire Door Install and remedial works.

Duties

  • Constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining Fire Doors using various carpentry techniques and materials.
  • Interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
  • Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times.
  • Reading and understanding schematics for electrical or mechanical systems as needed for installation or repair tasks.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction or carpentry roles is essential.
  • Familiarity with FRA Regulations and fire door installation and remedial works.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely is required.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
  • Previous experience working on diverse construction projects will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices within the construction industry is mandatory.

This position requires a minimum of Blue CSCS Skilled worker card and own carpentry tools as well as previous experience in FRA Carpentry.
