Automatic Door Engineer – Rotherham, South Yorkshire

£40,400 | £70k+ with Overtime | Premium OT | Bonuses | 33 Days Holiday

We’re looking for an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to join a leading global entrance solutions provider covering the Rotherham, Sheffield, Doncaster, and Leeds area. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants stability, strong earnings and long‑term development with a respected industry brand.

As an Automatic Door Engineer, you’ll carry out service, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of automatic door systems across retail, healthcare, commercial and transport environments.

What you’ll be doing

  • Servicing, repairing and fault‑finding on sliding, swing and revolving doors
  • Electrical checks, sensor testing and control system diagnostics
  • Completing BS EN 16005 safety checks and compliance documentation
  • Attending breakdowns and delivering first‑time fixes
  • Supporting installations and commissioning when required
  • Providing clear updates and a professional on‑site service

What we’re looking for

  • Experience working with automatic doors
  • Strong fault‑finding skills and basic electrical knowledge
  • Full UK driving licence + relevant operating licences
  • Ability to work independently across customer sites
  • A positive, customer‑focused approach

What you’ll receive

  • £40,400 salary package - £38k +£2400
  • £2,400 on‑call allowance (£200 per week)
