Dragonfly Foods is an award‑winning UK manufacturer of 100% organic, plant‑based products, hand‑crafted in Devon using authentic Japanese tofu‑making techniques. Since 1984, we’ve grown from a small two‑person operation into a respected producer supplying major wholesalers and retailers. We pride ourselves on using all‑natural, organic ingredients, free from additives, preservatives, GMOs, and artificial agents.

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Production Operative to join our team at our modern BRC‑accredited manufacturing facility in Willand.

Role Purpose

As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in the manufacture of our products, ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and cleanliness. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with strong development and progression opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up workstations and prepare equipment for production runs
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently in line with standard operating procedures
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately
  • Work effectively as part of the production line team
  • Complete production paperwork accurately where required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards

About You

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is beneficial but not essential
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on role
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of work
  • Able to follow instructions and processes with good attention to detail
  • Positive, team‑focused approach

Shift & Pay

  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 14:00 – 22:00
  • Overtime: Enhanced overtime rates available
  • Holiday: 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
  • Retention Bonus: £300 payable after 3 months of successful employment (subject to terms)

Training & Development

Full training will be provided on site. Additional development opportunities include:

  • Forklift Truck training
  • First Aid
  • Fire Warden
  • Food Safety and HACCP

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.76 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
