Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
  • Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs
  • Maintain accurate records of care
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Promote a safe and clean environment adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents or clients

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
  • Compassionate attitude with a strong sense of professionalism and confidentiality
