Full job description

Self-Employed | Flexible | UK-Wide | £30,000–£70,000+ Per Year

Confirmed jobs. Strong earning potential. Total flexibility.

We’re expanding our UK-wide drainage network and are specifically looking for experienced Drainage & Septic Tank Engineers to take on confirmed customer jobs in their local area. **We require you to have your Own van and drainage kit.**

This role is ideal for established self-employed engineers and drainage companies with experience in septic tanks, cesspits, sewage systems and general drainage work who want additional work without having to spend their time chasing customers.

What You Can Earn

Demand across our network is growing, particularly for engineers capable of handling specialist drainage and septic tank work.

Skilled engineers working with us have the potential to earn £30,000–£70,000+ per annum, depending on location, availability and the amount of work accepted.

  • Confirmed customer bookings — not leads you have to chase
  • Competitive rates discussed during onboarding
  • Same-day emergency call-outs and pre-booked work available
  • Take as much or as little work as suits your schedule
  • Remain completely self-employed and in control of your availability
  • Additional earning opportunities for engineers covering larger areas
  • Quality, reliability and professionalism are highly valued across our network

What Makes Us Different

We’re not looking to sell you lists of customer enquiries and leave you competing against several other contractors.

Our team receives and triages the job before it reaches you, allowing you to concentrate on what you do best — attending site, diagnosing the problem and completing the work.

  • We send confirmed jobs rather than unqualified leads
  • Jobs are triaged before being offered to you
  • No chasing customers for work
  • No competing against multiple engineers for the same lead
  • Work is matched according to your location, capabilities and availability
  • Emergency and pre-booked work available
  • You decide which jobs you can and cannot attend

About Us

We’re one of the UK's growing home emergency service providers, building a nationwide network of reliable, experienced tradespeople.

Due to increasing demand, we're currently expanding our specialist drainage coverage and are particularly interested in engineers who can undertake septic tank and off-mains drainage work.

Who We're Looking For

We’re looking for experienced Drainage & Septic Tank Engineers capable of attending residential and commercial drainage jobs.

Experience in some or all of the following is highly desirable:

  • Septic tank systems
  • Septic tank problems, diagnosis and repairs
  • Cesspits and cesspools
  • Sewage and wastewater systems
  • Blocked drains
  • Drain unblocking and clearance
  • Drain jetting / high-pressure water jetting
  • Drain rodding
  • CCTV drain surveys and inspections
  • Drainage fault finding
  • Collapsed or damaged drains
  • Drain repairs
  • External drainage
  • Sewage blockages and overflows
  • Waste pipes and underground drainage
  • Off-mains drainage systems
  • Emergency drainage call-outs

Engineers with genuine septic tank and cesspit experience are particularly encouraged to apply.

You do not necessarily need to cover every service above. We match work according to the services and equipment you can provide.

How It Works

Our process is straightforward:

  • Our team receives the customer's enquiry
  • The job is triaged to establish what work is required
  • Suitable jobs are matched to engineers based on trade, location and availability
  • We contact you with the job information
  • You decide whether you're available to take it
  • Attend the property and complete the work professionally
  • Continue running your own business while using us as an additional source of work

There is no requirement to accept every job.

What You'll Need

To join our drainage network, you should have:

  • Proven professional drainage experience
  • Experience with septic tanks / cesspits / off-mains drainage strongly preferred
  • Your own suitable tools and equipment
  • Appropriate drainage equipment for the services you offer
  • Your own vehicle
  • Valid Public Liability Insurance (PLI) registered to your sole trader or company name
  • Ability to diagnose drainage problems professionally
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • A professional and reliable attitude

Engineers with equipment such as high-pressure water jetters, CCTV drain cameras and specialist drainage equipment are particularly welcome.

This opportunity is for experienced self-employed engineers and established drainage businesses. We do not onboard apprentices and do not provide tools, vehicles or drainage equipment.

Why Join Our Network?

If you already run your own drainage business, this is designed to work alongside your existing customers and workload.

Keep your own business, your own customers and your independence while receiving additional opportunities from us when you're available.

Whether you want occasional jobs to fill gaps in your diary or you're looking to take on significantly more work, you remain in control of how much you accept.
