Full job description

In the quaint quiet village of Beaulieu in the heart of the New Forest you will find Pallets Tea & Coffee House, Beaulieu's first Specialty Coffee House. Owned by the family for over 30 years our shop has a special place in our hearts. Now we have opened our second site just down the road 'The Beaulieu Bakehouse' we are looking for a barista to work between both sites.

Currently run by two members of staff we are looking for someone to become a strong and dedicated part of the team. Team work is key to everything we do to ensure we are delivering the best quality service. We are a Small Local Business but we do everything to a great standard.

The Role...

- Coffee is our thing. The best part about this role is that you will have the opportunity to open the doors to the Specialty Coffee Industry. All our coffee is roasted fresh by Moon Roast coffee roasters just outside of Winchester giving us the unique opportunity to work very close with them to develop on our knowledge of coffee. You will learn in house how to get the best results from your coffee, learn how to steam milk properly, receive Latte Art training, and learn more about the speciality coffee industry.

- You will need to be confident with customers and welcoming to everyone that comes through the door. You will be trained up on the till and handling money the correct way. If you don't like people this is not the role for you. Everything we do is all about being friendly and welcoming.

- You will also be required to make Panini's at Pallets following our food training

- You will also be required to clear table, run food and drinks, & keep the environment clean on shift.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be responsible for everything coffee when on shift. Making sure you know how to get the best from your coffee is crucial but we will show you how its done. Being a good barista is also about ensuring the customer receives the best service in a pleasant environment. As a member of our team you will be responsible for keeping the shop clean and tidy

It is also crucial to be adaptable when needed and be ready to operate any area of Pallets & The Bakehouse when needed so taking direction and being a team player is also key.

Pay

Minimum wage / national living wage dependant on age
