About Us
Essential Medicals is a SEQOHS-accredited Occupational Health provider based in London, delivering high-quality driver and occupational medical assessments across the UK.

Due to rapid expansion, we are looking to recruit GMC-registered doctors (with Licence to Practise) to join our growing team.

This role is particularly well-suited to:

  • International Medical Graduates (IMGs)
  • Doctors who have completed PLAB
  • Doctors seeking flexible, well-paid sessional work

Role Overview

You will conduct driver medical assessments, including:

  • HGV (D4) medicals
  • Taxi / PCO medicals
  • Occupational medicals

Full training and templates will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured medical assessments using provided templates
  • Review medical history and medications
  • Perform basic clinical examinations (BP, vision, general assessment)
  • Complete clear and accurate medical reports
  • Maintain professional and patient-centred care

Requirements

  • GMC Registration with Licence to Practise (Essential)
  • PLAB-qualified doctors welcome
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Professional indemnity (can be arranged if required)
  • Ability to work independently

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Experience in Occupational Health or GP settings
  • Experience in driver medicals (D4/Taxi)
  • Familiarity with UK clinical systems
