Full job description

We're looking for an HGV Driver to join our team at Copart, based near East Kilbride (G75 0SB).

As an HGV Driver, you'll load, collect, and deliver accident-damaged vehicles, often requiring physical effort. This full-time, Monday to Friday role offers a great work-life balance with no bank holiday work.

Copart is a global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling, partnering with insurance companies, banks, and automotive businesses. Drivers must comply with legal and company standards, performing vehicle inspections and reporting any issues.

No transporter experience? No worries – we'll provide 3 weeks of one-on-one training and ongoing CPC training. If you have a Cat C licence, you can upskill to C+E after completing your probation.

After training a reasonable salary expectation based on an average on 7 vehicle collections per day, would be approx. £45,749 pa.

What we need from you:

  • HGV Licence Class 1 & Class 2

  • Current CPC

  • A good understanding of the EC Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations

  • Driving experience in both rural and urban environments

  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Confident in the use of handheld devices, with experience in the use of basic IT applications

  • Adaptable, with the ability to organise and adjust your working day

  • Car transportation or recovery experience would be an advantage, but isn’t essential

What we offer you in return:

  • Time For You: Relax with 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and an extra day for a personal special occasion.

  • Give Back: Receive a paid day to volunteer for a charity of your choice.

  • Company uniform and PPE

  • Annual CPC training

  • Health & Wellness: Healthcare Cash Plan.

  • Your Future: Join our contributory workplace pension scheme for financial security.

  • Investment: Purchase shares in our global company at a discounted rate.

  • Fitness & Health: Save money while commuting with our Cycle to Work Scheme and access fitness videos and gym discounts.

  • Life Assurance: Enjoy peace of mind with our life insurance coverage.

  • Exclusive Discounts: Access our deals hub for savings on everyday purchases and family activities.

All offers of employment are subject to receipt of proof of right to work in the UK documentation and satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) and reference checks to the Company
