Delivery Driver – Job Description | Immediate Start

This is a self-employed delivery driver role delivering parcels in a fixed local area. The job is physical and fast-paced, but straightforward once you learn your route.

Your day will look like this:

• Arrive at the depot between 06:30 and 07:30am

• Find your assigned route and load your own parcels into the van

• Loading usually takes 30–60 minutes, depending on parcel count

• Leave the depot and start your route using the provided device

• You will complete 90–140 stops per day

• Deliveries are mainly houses, with some flats and businesses

• You will be in and out of the van throughout the day

• Most parcels are small to medium, but some can be heavier

• Once you finish your route, you must return to the depot to de-brief and complete end-of-day procedures

Training Provided (Paid)

We provide full paid training to ensure you are confident before running your own route:

• 2 days classroom training covering systems, delivery device, and procedures

• 2–3 days ride-along training with an experienced Lead Driver or On-Site Manager

• You will learn loading, route management, delivery process, and best practices

• Training days are paid at £100 per day

• Ongoing support is available even after training is completed

No previous multi-drop experience is required, as full training is provided.

Working pattern:

• Routes available 6–7 days per week

• Typical time spent delivering is 6–9 hours per day

• Faster and more organised drivers usually finish earlier

• Consistent work available year-round

Things to be aware of:

• This is an active job — you will be walking and driving most of the day

• Some days are easier than others, especially while learning

• Good organisation makes the job much easier

• Experience helps, but full training is provided

Requirements:

• Full UK or EU driving licence

• Maximum 6 penalty points

• Must be reliable and punctual

• Must be comfortable using navigation and a delivery device

Pay:

• Paid £180-£220+ per day based on a parcel rate

• Training paid at £100 per day

Pay: £180.00-£250.00 per day
