Jet wash & brick cleaning operative

The purpose of this role is to support our cleaning department by conducting external cleaning tasks to new build properties via Jet washing or a reach and wash window cleaning system. Our system is a high power hot water pressure system. Full uniform and induction will be given.

It is important to follow instructions and operate in a cautious manner due to potential damage to brick structures. The task will be very manual and require a good level of strength and capability. The individual will need to be able to solve problems and stay calm when facing challenges. Initially the role will be independent working but as the business demand grows, additional team members may join.

We want all cleans to be delivered safely, to the highest standard of quality and in a timely manner as per the cleaning specifications. The operator will be responsible for liaising with site staff to report completed work and any defects found.

Main duties include:

- Brick washing via powered jet washing, new build properties to remove excess cement and mortar.

- Cleaning of windows, frames, facias, and high-level signage using a purified reach and wash system.

- Cleaning other facility areas and driveways where required.

- Promote a safe working environment for you and others. Conducting themselves in a safe way, including wearing PPE, safe working practices and the correct use of company vehicles.

- Completing and accurately recording daily and weekly H&S checks of equipment and company vehicles.

- Conduct weekly vehicle checks and stock take of chemical stock.

- Ensuring equipment and stock are being used appropriately and thoroughly cleaned by team members.

- Build and maintain good working relationships with site teams. Answer queries swiftly and respond in a professional manner.

- Offering professional and courteous interactions to site staff and end user customers (property buyer).

- Any other reasonable requests made by management.

Qualifications and training

Jet washing or window cleaning experience is preferred. Driving license is essential for use of the company vehicle. No further formal qualifications are required but CSCS card is beneficial.

We are looking for a hardworking, trusted individual that can work alone and as part of a team. We need an individual who can overcome small problems to get the job done. This position is a permanent role, working for an established business, within the new build housing sector. Salary is starting at £23,000 and will be reviewed inline with annual reviews.

Full training and supervision will be given, and all equipment, PPE and uniform will be provided.
