Job Title: Cleaner/Maintenance Assistant

Salary: £22,035.00 per annum /£11.44 per hour

Location: Terminus House, Terminus Street, Harlow CM20 1FA

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.30pm with 1-hour unpaid break

Contract Type: Full Time

The role

The role involves performing comprehensive cleaning tasks across two main areas: communal cleaning and end-of-tenancy cleaning.

For communal cleaning, duties include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors, dusting, cleaning driveways and windows, and hoovering carpets and other dusty areas.

For end-of-tenancy cleaning, responsibilities encompass dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing floors, and thoroughly cleaning toilets, showers, tubs, driveways, windows, counters, and all surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom. It also includes hoovering carpets, upholstery, and any other dusty surfaces, as well as scrubbing and sanitising all relevant areas. Care must be taken when handling furniture and appliances, and general care-taking tasks such as maintaining the bin area are also part of the role. Additionally, assistance with void work, including clearing out furniture and painting walls, may be required as needed.
