ABOUT THE ROLE

As one of our valued General Assistant team members, you will be passionate, energetic, and have a keen eye for detail. You’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests using our beautiful rooms and cottages and gardens. You will maintain clean areas daily ensuring the highest of standards are met.

SALARY: £12.90 per hour - Weekend work is required
HOURS: 30H - Overtime paid at same rate


NB - to be considered for this role you must hold a valid driving license!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure rooms are clean to the highest standard
  • Ensure public areas are maintained, including the Terrace on a daily basis and report any damages or issues with the lighting, pathways, furniture, cushions/parasols etc
  • Ensure car parks, driveways and outside areas are free from debris, leaves etc and tidy for use
  • Ensure external bins are put out for collection on the designated days
    Weather permitting, ensure cushions and parasols are outside ready for guests around all outside areas of the business
  • Assist with general tidiness of the internal areas of The Wild Rabbit Pub
  • Removing linen and towels from rooms and cottages after guest departure and delivering linen packs to rooms and cottages as required prior to guest arrivals
  • Delivering and collecting laundry and consumable supplies from local suppliers
  • Clearing and restocking fireplaces and wood supplies
  • Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
  • Ensure all stock cupboards are fully stocked with the necessary amenities and welcome consumables and replace/restock when appropriate
  • Ensuring all external and internal lightbulbs are replaced as required
  • Complete change over days efficiently
  • Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
  • Notify your Manager of any damages in guest rooms/cottages or issues anywhere on the property
  • To be proactive in assisting your colleagues and having a flexible approach to work tasks, including assisting in other department roles as the business requires
  • Use company vehicles across the estate, including on public roads.
  • Responsible for maintaining company vehicles on a daily basis, including cleaning, refuelling and daily safety checks
