About us - We are a family run business since 1983 in Farnham, Surrey. We supply all types of fencing such as domestic, commercial, agricultural and security.

Job Description - As a Yard Operative, you will be an essential part of our daily operations including the below job duties;

• Loading and unloading customer someone manually rather than forklift
• Helping load for the deliveries we have going out
• Tidying the yard which includes, moving packing strips, litter picking, ensuring stacks of timber are neat, sweeping the warehouses, paths and driveway
• Unloading lorries coming to us with new materials
• Morticing timber posts and cutting cleats and stumps
• Restocking materials where needed like moving gates into a sellable area or lifting down packs of timber
• General yard maintenance this could involve but not exclusively painting, weeding, hedge cutting or cleaning of vehicles
• Assisting out on deliveries

Our working hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm

Saturday opening times are 8:00am - 12:00pm you will be required to do at least one Saturday a month

We do not open on bank holidays but these are paid in full

We offer a 15minute break in the morning, 30 minutes at lunch and 15minutes in the afternoon.

Each year you will get 20days paid holiday which days taken at Christmas will be deducted from this as we are not open.

We are looking for someone who works well as part of a team and can work under pressure at times during our busy periods. We are a family run company with a handful of employees so you will need to be friendly and work well with others. You would need to be polite and patient when dealing with customers as we pride ourselves on our customer service and have taken a long time to build the reputation that we have.

Knowledge of fencing is not essential but would be preferred you will be working with someone to start with until you learn the ropes of how things work.
