Full job description

Pressure Washing Exterior Cleaning Technician

Immediate Start Available

At Brooklands, we enhance places and buildings nationwide through specialist cleaning and coating services. There's something genuinely satisfying about travelling around the UK and being able to say, "I cleaned that." Our team takes real pride in the work they do, knowing they've helped transform buildings and public spaces.

If you're looking for a physically active career where every day is different, this could be the perfect role.

About the Role

We're looking for a Pressure Washing Exterior Cleaning Technician to join our growing team. Your primary role will be cleaning brickwork and external areas on new-build housing developments throughout the Midlands.

Once fully trained, you'll be provided with your own fully equipped company van, complete with high-pressure jetting and specialist window cleaning equipment. You'll travel directly from home to customer sites each day.

No two days are the same. Some days you'll work independently, while others you'll work alongside colleagues on larger projects.

Is This Role Right for You?

This is a physically demanding job. You'll be:

  • Operating high-pressure cleaning equipment
  • Pulling and manoeuvring heavy hoses
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Walking significant distances around construction sites
  • Carrying out manual work throughout the day

It's hard work, but it's incredibly rewarding. Watching years of dirt disappear before your eyes and leaving every site looking its best gives a real sense of achievement.

What We're Looking For

You'll need to be:

  • Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work all day
  • Hardworking, reliable and self-motivated
  • Confident working independently once trained
  • Flexible with working hours and locations
  • Detail-oriented with pride in producing high-quality work

You'll also need:

  • A full UK driving licence (a clean licence is preferred)
  • Your own transport
  • To live within approximately 45 minutes of Nottingham city centre
  • A valid CSCS card before starting
  • IPAF and PASMA qualifications are desirable but not essential

Your Responsibilities

As a Brooklands Technician you'll be responsible for:

  • Cleaning brickwork, render and external surfaces on construction sites
  • Safely operating specialist cleaning equipment (full training provided)
  • Looking after your company vehicle, tools and equipment
  • Completing daily job reports, photographs and weekly paperwork
  • Carrying out stock checks of PPE and consumables
  • Maintaining equipment and carrying out minor on-site adjustments when required
  • Delivering high standards of workmanship on every job

What We Offer

  • £15.50 per hour during training
  • £16.20 per hour after successfully completing training (typically around three months)
  • Paid travel time
  • Overtime and weekend work available
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Company van (business use only) and fuel card
  • Full uniform and PPE provided
  • Comprehensive in-house training on specialist cleaning techniques
  • Long-term career opportunities with a growing nationwide company
  • A varied role with different locations and projects every day

Working Hours

Most daytime work is between 7:30am and 4:30pm, although flexibility is essential.

Our work depends on customer requirements, so you must be willing to work:

  • Variable start and finish times
  • Occasional evenings and night shifts
  • Weekend work when required
  • Different shift lengths depending on the project

During your training you'll work alongside an experienced technician. Once you've successfully completed training, you'll be allocated your own company van and begin working independently on your own jobs.
