Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Garden & Estate Maintenance Operative / Handyman to join our

team in maintaining beautifully landscaped private grounds and estates to an exceptionally high standard.

This is a varied and hands-on role suited to someone with a genuine passion for traditional gardening methods,

horticulture, and estate upkeep. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining gardens, lawns, trees, and

outdoor spaces, whilst also assisting with general exterior maintenance across the estate.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining beautifully landscaped gardens and estate grounds
• Hand weeding using traditional gardening methods
• Plant care with strong knowledge of plants, shrubs, trees, and seasonal maintenance
• Seasonal planting, pot planting, and greenhouse maintenance
• Planting and maintaining fruit and vegetable areas
• Pruning and caring for fruit trees
• Ongoing garden and landscaping improvement projects
• Maintenance of extensive lawned areas
• General upkeep of driveways and electric gates
• Maintaining all exterior and garden lighting
• Outdoor furniture care and maintenance
• Exterior painting including gates, outbuildings, and other outdoor structures
• Exterior window cleaning and general estate presentationSkills
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Growing experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques to preserve outdoor aesthetics
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
• Good physical fitness to handle manual tasks including lifting and manoeuvring equipment or materials
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Proven horticultural and gardening experience
• Good practical handyman and estate maintenance skills
• Strong knowledge of plants, trees, lawns, and seasonal gardening
• Experience using traditional gardening techniques
• Ability to work independently and maintain high standards
• A proactive, flexible, and trustworthy attitude
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in their work
• Full driving licence preferred

Additional Information

The successful candidate may also be required, from time to time, to work alongside our commercial landscaping

team on external landscaping sites when needed. Flexibility and willingness to support the wider team across both

private estates and commercial projects would therefore be advantageous.
