About Fogtrap by Aquarius Ltd - https://www.fogtrap.com/
Fogtrap by Aquarius Ltd Is a fast-growing business operating in a specialist and expanding industry. We service and maintain our own specialist grease trap units (Fogtrap), installed in commercial kitchens across restaurants, pubs and other hospitality venues throughout mainland UK.
We work with a nationwide customer base, including well-known hospitality brands such as Nando’s and Loungers.
We are looking for a reliable, practical and hardworking Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a permanent position with full training, opportunities to develop their skills and the potential to progress into an independent role with their own company van.
The Role – What Does a Typical Day Involve?
Our engineers visit customer sites to service and maintain grease trap units, helping commercial kitchens operate efficiently and preventing fats, oils and grease from entering drainage systems.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Travelling to restaurants, pubs and other commercial kitchen sites across the UK. (Typically in a certain area each day)
- Safely disconnecting and removing used grease trap units from kitchen pipework.
- Cleaning the surrounding work area and ensuring the kitchen is left tidy.
- Installing a clean, empty grease trap onto the existing pipework.
- Checking connections and ensuring the unit is correctly fitted.
- Completing job sheets and taking photographs of completed work.
- Safely transporting full grease traps back to the van
- Following company procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Providing a professional and reliable service to our customers.
This is a practical, hands-on role involving physical work, manual handling and regular driving between customer sites.
No previous grease trap experience is required, as full training will be provided.
Working Hours and Arrangements
- Monday to Friday, working on a start-to-finish basis.
- Start times typically range between 4am - 6am, depending on the scheduled workload.
- Most days finish in the early afternoon, depending on the jobs completed and travel required.
- Optional Saturday overtime when available.
- 43 Hours Per Week.
Early starts, reliability, punctuality and a willingness to travel are essential for this role.
Training and Progression – Your Own Company Van
During your initial training period, you will work alongside an experienced colleague to learn our servicing procedures, equipment, customer requirements and safe working practices.
Once fully trained and competent, you will generally work independently, with occasional opportunities to work alongside a colleague when required.
As Aquarius Ltd continues to grow, we want to develop our engineers and provide opportunities for increased responsibility and independence.
When you have demonstrated the required competence and a company van becomes available, we will look to progress you into your own van.
This could allow you to take your company van home and start your working day directly from your driveway, travelling straight to your first customer site rather than attending the depot each morning.
Progression will depend on your experience, competence, performance and vehicle availability.
What We're Looking For
- A reliable and punctual individual with a strong work ethic.
- A full, valid driving licence.
- At least two years' driving experience.
- Previous van-driving experience preferred.
- A practical, hands-on approach to work.
- The ability to undertake physical work and manual handling safely.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures.
- A professional attitude when working at customer sites.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently once trained.
- Flexibility to travel nationwide and work early starts.
