Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hard Landscaper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in landscape construction and maintenance, with the ability to work efficiently on various high-end outdoor projects. This role involves transforming outdoor spaces through the installation and upkeep of hard landscaping features, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with construction experience and a passion for horticulture to develop their skills further within a professional environment.

Duties

  • Construct, install, and maintain hard landscaping features such as patios, pathways, walls, and driveways using appropriate materials and techniques.
  • Operate a range of power tools and machinery including excavators, hand tools, and other construction equipment safely and effectively.
  • Assist with site preparation, including excavation, levelling, and groundwork to ensure stable foundations for landscaping features.
  • Manage irrigation systems installation and maintenance to ensure proper water distribution across landscaped areas.
  • Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks such as cleaning, repairing, and maintaining hardscape structures to prolong their lifespan.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan project layouts and execute tasks efficiently while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Assist in the transportation of materials and equipment around the site using appropriate vehicles or manual handling techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and machinery are properly stored after use.

Skills

  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance, construction or related fields.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as spades, shovels, levels, and trowels.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings or plans for landscape design implementation.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively on busy sites.
  • Excellent teamwork skills alongside a proactive attitude towards safety procedures.
