Overview

As a Competent Labourer, you’ll support practical work on site, helping tasks progress safely and efficiently. The role title identifies a driving licence as essential, so you’ll need to hold one to carry out the work. You’ll work alongside colleagues, follow instructions and take care with equipment and materials.

The role is multifaceted, and would suit somebody who can turn their hand to most practical work, and who is happy working safely at heights. The aim is to develop the successful individual so they are able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• You will be involved in exterior cleaning, involving roof cleaning, gutter cleaning, driveway cleaning, pressure washing, and more.
• You will assist with basic carpentry and woodwork.
• You will need to be competent using power tools.
• Prepare work areas and move materials or equipment as directed.
• Assist colleagues with day-to-day labouring tasks, keeping shared areas tidy and clear.
• Use tools and equipment responsibly, following site instructions and safe working practices.
• Report hazards, damage or issues promptly and help maintain an orderly work area.

Qualifications

Required: A valid driving licence and the practical ability to follow instructions, handle materials carefully and work safely as part of a team. Preferred: Previous labouring or similar hands-on experience, familiarity with common tools and equipment, and a proactive approach to keeping work areas organised.

Pay: £12.71-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
