Full job description

Meon Valley Magazine and Leaflet Distributors – Delivery Team Required

We are currently looking for extremely reliable, motivated individuals to join our magazine distribution team across the Hampshire area.

The Routes to cover are postcodes SO30, SO32, PO17 and PO7.

This includes Boorley Green, Curdridge, Burridge, Denmead, Durley, Soberton, Droxford, Shirrell Heath, Shedfield and their surrounding villages.

This is an independent, flexible monthly role delivering our community magazine to residential letterboxes.

Important – Please Read Before Applying

This role is best suited to people who:

  • Enjoy working outdoors in ALL weather conditions
  • Are physically fit and happy to walk for long periods
  • Are dependable, organised, keen and want to work
  • Can commit to completing a route properly, on time and without issues
  • Are courteous and respectful when working within village communities

Some of our rural rounds involve long roads, some without paths, significant walking including long uneven driveways and can include travelling between villages, therefore:

  • Applicants must be aged 18+
  • Applicants must have access to reliable transport
  • This role is not suitable for anyone looking for quick or casual work without commitment

Reliability is extremely important to us. Our distributors represent us as a company and our community Magazine that we are proud of and we pride ourselves on maintaining a strong reputation within the local community as we have for the last 21 years.

Because of this:

  • Last-minute cancellations of routes cannot be accepted
  • A minimum 48-hour cancellation notice policy will apply to all rounds once accepted
  • Failure to complete agreed rounds affects the entire distribution schedule as replacement cover is difficult to arrange last minute.

What the Role Involves

  • Delivering A5 magazines with leaflets securely through residential letterboxes
  • Ensuring every property on your allocated route receives a copy
  • Using our tracking app to confirm completed deliveries
  • Preparing magazines before delivery by inserting A5 advertising leaflets
  • Occasionally delivering separate A4 advertising leaflets alongside/ outside the magazine

You will also need a suitable bag to carry magazines safely and comfortably during your route.

Pay

Each route has allocated hours attached to it and payment is based on those set route hours, not how long the route personally takes you to complete.

The pay is set at Minimum wage.

Additional pay is provided for:

  • Inserting leaflets into magazines ( up to 6)
  • Delivering separate advertising leaflet when required

You have a 7-day window each month to complete your distribution round, allowing flexibility to work around your schedule.

If this sounds like something you would genuinely enjoy and happy to commit to, rain or shine we would love to hear from you.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: £50.00-£200.00 per month

Work Location: In person
