Class 1 Drivers Wanted – Eaglescliffe

Our client is seeking experienced Class 1 Drivers to join their team in Eaglescliffe. They work with a network of stockists and local builders’ merchants across the UK, supplying a wide range of landscaping, garden patio, and driveway products.

Pay:

• £16 - £21.28 per hour

Hours:

• Monday to Friday – 48 hours per week
• Start times between 04:00 – 07:00
• Overtime available

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough vehicle inspections before starting each journey.
• Deliver building supplies to commercial and residential sites.
• Safely load and secure supplies to ensure balanced distribution.
• Plan and follow the most efficient and safe delivery routes.
• Ensure all deliveries are made on time, following the dispatch team’s schedule.
• Communicate any delays or issues promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.

Requirements:

• Valid C+E Class 1 licence and CPC.
• Digital tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Experience with HIAB, Palfinger roll loaders, fixed-mounted cranes, and brick grabs (desirable).
• Experience with cranes and drawbars (preferred).
• Strong customer-facing skills with a professional and flexible approach.
• Good geographical knowledge of the delivery areas.
• Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering top-class service.
