Part-Time Home to School Driver – Locking

Location: Weston-super-Mare and surrounding areas
Pay: £14.46 per hour
Hours: Part-time | Monday to Friday | Term-time only
Schedule: Morning and afternoon school runs

Techxi is looking forreliable, friendly and responsible people in the Weston-super-Mare area to join our growing team of Home to School Drivers.

This isn't your typical driving job.

You'll be helping children and young people travel safely between their homes and school each day, providing a reliable and familiar face for the passengers and families who depend on our service.

The role is particularly well suited to people looking for regular part-time, term-time work, including semi-retired applicants or anyone wanting to keep the middle of their day free.

No previous taxi or professional driving experience is required.

What does the role involve?

You'll complete a school run in the morning and another in the afternoon, Monday to Friday during school term time.

You'll collect children from their homes, transport them safely to school and return them home at the end of the school day.

Depending on the route, you may also work alongside a Passenger Assistant who supports the children during the journey.

Who are we looking for?

• Able to commit to both morning and afternoon school runs
• Available consistently throughout the school term
• Based in or around Weston-super-Mare

You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and meet the relevant requirements for private hire and school transport work.

The role is subject to the appropriate pre-employment and safeguarding checks, including an Enhanced DBS check.

• Can you commit to driving Monday to Friday during term times?
• Vehicles are assigned based on the needs of the school run. The biggest vehicle available is an 8 seater mini van, the smallest is 4 seater family car. Are you comfortable driving a van sized vehicle?
• Fleet Insurance covers ages 24-75, are you within this range?
• Are you able to attend a 1 day course in Wolverhampton?
• You understand the role is TTO and runs from September to July and that overtime can still be available, outside of term times?
• School runs are typically between 15-30 hours per week. Are you aiming to be at the Higher or Lower end of this scale?

Licence/Certification:

• UK Driving License (Held for 2 year) (required)

Work Location: On the road
