Location: Dodworth, Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 + Overtime + Benefits
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours Monday–Friday (overtime available)

We're entering an exciting phase of growth and are now seeking a Professional Driver Trainer to join our expanding team. If you're enthusiastic about driver education and enjoy working in a dynamic, customer-focused environment, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering professional, high-quality training to HGV and PCV learners in line with DVSA test standards
- Conducting driving assessments and providing clear, constructive feedback
- Supporting qualified drivers with Driver CPC and classroom-based learning
- Carrying out driver risk assessments for our growing list of corporate clients
- Helping learners with theory preparation and ensuring they feel confident and supported
- Maintaining training records and promoting a culture of safety and compliance
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Full UK Driving Licence including C+E and Cat D
- Experience in vocational driver training (HGV/PCV)
- Strong communication, organisational, and coaching skills
- Uses initiative to identify what needs to be done and able to resolve issues proactively
- Good working knowledge of The Highway Code, vehicle checks, and safe driving practice
- Flexibility with start/finish times depending on client needs
Desirable:
- DVSA Instructor Qualification or equivalent
- Certificate in Training Practice or similar (Adult Education)
- Assessor qualifications – Mod 4 and 3A experience
- Proficient with IT tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Experience using digital tools for training delivery
