Full job description

Due to on-going business expansion SPS Ltd based near Uckfield East Sussex, are seeking enthusiastic and hard-working Class 2(C) driver to join our team delivering and collecting for the biggest European pallet network, Palletways.

Responsibilities:

  • Willing to learn local geographical knowledge
  • Deliver curb-side pallet goods, anything from 10-14 drops per day.
  • Collection of hub collection pallets, back to the depot.
  • Professionally interact with customers always.
  • Complete daily maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any issues
  • Administration ability to manage and maintain delivery and collection paperwork.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Experience Required:

  • Ideally, at least one 1-year multidrop experience required
  • Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experience
  • Ability and knowledge of lifting and handling procedures
  • Work well independently using initiative and common sense
  • Open and transparent communication verbal and written
  • Familiarity with GPS devices / able to read a map

Pay, benefits and more:

We are offering a salary of £37,500 per annum depending on experience, including performance bonus, 4 weeks paid holiday plus 8 days bank holidays. We also offer a company pension plan

We welcome and encourage candidates to spend a day put with one of our experienced drivers to see what the job entails- we will pay you for your attendance

The role is full time, primarily Monday to Friday and is a permanent position with a shift time of approximately 10hrs per day, although this depends on the needs of the business. We also require you to work one Saturday in every four
