£11.268 per annum - 15 hours per week. (Equivalent to £25,513 per annum full-time)
The Role
You will be responsible for administrative support services for Sign and Share Club, including telephone calls and written English communication support for Deaf staff.
Person Specification
· A commitment to promoting and upholding the rights of d/Deaf people
· Ability to work within a team of volunteers and paid staff
· Ability to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers and the public
· Reliable, enthusiastic and having personal drive.
· Experience of using an online book-keeping system/ willingness to learn
· Positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, members and professionals.
· Ability to use own initiative
· Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people
· Demonstrate a polite, sensitive, professional approach with an understanding of both professional and personal boundaries.
· Interested in learning about issues relating to D/deaf and hard of hearing people
· Willing to use/learn BSL
Skills/Qualifications
· Organisational skills, including the ability to complete and maintain written and electronic records in a timely manner.
· IT competent in the use of Microsoft Office Applications
· Maintain professional standards of practice and abide by Sign and Share Club’s
internal policies and procedures.
· Experience of database and QuickBooks usage, or a willingness to learn
· Mathematics and English skills at equivalence to GCSE level or higher

Job Description
Aim: To provide administrative support services to Sign and Share Club
· Keep accurate financial and other records (such as monitoring information for fund providers)
· To input information onto QuickBooks Online in relation to invoices, sales receipts, and expenditure items in a timely manner.
· To undertake a monthly bank reconciliation of the main bank account and petty cash accounts
· To make day-to-day input of information onto the database in relation to all services of the club.
· To attend quarterly Governance meetings and take minutes (for approval by the Charity Manager before circulating them)
· To update both FaceBook and the club website with events information, at least monthly.
· To compile event handouts and distribute to members as directed by the Charity Manager
· To provide secretarial support to the Communications Manager including responding to general enquiries and helping with availability enquiries.
· To provide course information, and maintaining records and waiting lists, including enrolling students on British Sign Language courses, or Deaf Awareness courses
· To compile records for Signature approved courses including submitting students for exams
· To contact members of the public and Audiology re hearing aid repair appointments in the community
· Deal with general enquiries or re-direct enquiries as necessary, ensuring that phones are answered promptly and all email enquiries are acknowledged or resolved in a timely manner
· Contact people by phone, emails and other forms of communication to inform them of the club’s activities and make referrals to other organisations (when appropriate)
· To provide other general administrative support to the team, as required.
More Details:
· Home based working £6 per week use of home as office allowance.
· Hours to be agreed with successful applicant (including Saturday afternoons 4 times a year to take notes at Governance meetings in Haverfordwest).
· 5.6 weeks (pro rata) statutory leave
· SMART Pension (employer contribution)
What we do
· Sign and Share Club are based mainly in Pembrokeshire and was originally set up in 2013 to relieve the needs of deaf people and encourage the use of British Sign Language (BSL). It became a Registered Charity in February 2018.

Beth rydyn ni’n ei wneud
