Full job description

Duffield Dental Practice has been looking after Duffield and the surrounding villages since the 1980s — independent, family-owned, and today almost entirely private, which means sensible appointment lengths, good materials, and the time to do things properly. Two new dentists join us this summer, and we are adding to our nursing team this August.

## The role

- Chairside nursing across general, restorative, implant, surgical and orthodontic dentistry.

- Reception cover — our nurses work the front desk as well as chairside; it is an integral part of the role here.

- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday all need covering, every week, from the start of September. Two people sharing them in any split (two and two, three and one), or one person taking all four — tell us which days suit you.

## Pay and hours

- £15.00 per hour — and, unusually, lunch breaks are paid, which makes the like-for-like rate about £16.88 per hour: £135 a day, £270 a week on two days, £540 on four (roughly £14,000 to £28,000 a year)

- 8.30am to 5.30pm

- The paid lunch is deliberate: the team shares telephone cover through the lunch hour, and when treatment runs past the hour it gets finished properly — we pay for your time rather than ask you to watch the clock

- Start date: August 2026 — the earlier the better, so you are settled in well before a busy September. Please tell us your notice period when you apply.

## About you

-Qualified, GDC-registered dental nurse (essential)

-Implant nursing experience welcome, not required

-Happy in a close, friendly team that takes the work seriously and itself rather less so

-Cover matters here: when a colleague is on leave or unwell, our nurses take occasional additional paid days on a fair rota — it is exactly what protects your own leave in turn

- Four dentists working across two surgeries, supported by an experienced nursing and reception team CBCT, OPG, surgical microscope, digital scanning and a small in-house lab
