Full job description

We are a small independent family based domiciliary care agency and pride ourselves in providing a professional but friendly service to our clients. We require dedicated and conscientious care assistants to join our team on a full-time and part time basis. Work hours can be adjusted to suit your family life. You must be flexible, adaptable, and well organised. You must be caring and compassionate to the needs of your client. You will require the ability to work on your own initiative but also as part of a team. You will need to report to management and will also need to liaise with other health professionals.

All shifts available. Morning (7am-12pm), Lunch (11:30am-3pm), Tea (3pm-7pm), and Evening (7pm-11pm), Monday to Sunday.

Our client area mainly covers Mickleover, Littleover, Sinfin, Stenson Fields, Mackworth, Allestree, Duffield, and Belper.

Requirements of Potential Applicants:

  • Over the age of 18
  • No qualifications necessary as full training is provided!
  • To work alternate weekends, or one day every weekend
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
  • Reliable and honest with good time keeping skills
  • Good English skills in handwriting and speaking
  • Use of a car and full driving license

Your duties will include the following:

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, washing, dressing, meal preparation, assistance with medication and toileting
  • Hoist and transfer clients using equipment in place
  • Accompany clients on social visits, shopping trips, hospital visits, GP appointments
  • Observe, monitor and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any issues to management
  • Encourage clients to remain as independent as possible
  • Work in accordance with clients’ individual care and support plan at all times

Please note, we are unable to offer any Certificate of Sponsorship at this time. However, if you currently have a CoS from another employment we can provide up to 20 hours of part time work.
