Full job description

Why This Role Is Worth Your Attention

Most paid media jobs give you a small budget, slow sign-off, and no creative support. This one is different:

  • Real budgets, already working. You'll take ownership of substantial, profitable ad spend across Google, Meta and TikTok for an established UK fashion ecommerce brand. The accounts are performing — your job is to make them perform better and scale them further.
  • An in-house creative team of three. Photography, video and ad content produced on-site. You brief it, they make it. No begging an agency for assets.
  • Fast decisions, no layers. Budget and strategy decisions are made quickly. If your test is working, you scale it — you won't wait a week for approval.

This is a hands-on role with real responsibility and a visible, measurable impact on the business.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first six months, you'll have full ownership of daily campaign management across all three platforms, a clear testing roadmap in place, and measurable improvements in profitability and paid sales across a wider range of products and categories.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and optimise Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns daily — Google Shopping, Performance Max, Search, remarketing, and Meta prospecting, retargeting and creative testing.
  • Develop TikTok Ads as a growth channel.
  • Increase ROAS, sales and overall advertising profitability, scaling spend in a controlled, commercially sensible way.
  • Improve campaign structure, budget allocation and account organisation.
  • Build and run clear testing and growth strategies across platforms, audiences and creative.
  • Grow paid sales across a wider range of products and categories, guided by internal product, stock and seasonal priorities.
  • Monitor daily spend, budget pacing and performance; analyse results by platform, campaign, product, audience and creative.
  • Manage Shopify, Google Merchant Center and product feeds; maintain accurate GA4, pixel and conversion tracking.
  • Brief the in-house creative team and recommend new advertising angles, formats and content.
  • Provide clear weekly reporting covering results, actions taken, opportunities and next steps.
  • Suggest CRO improvements where they would support stronger advertising performance.
  • Stay up to date with platform changes, automation and AI developments.

Occasional out-of-hours campaign monitoring may be required during peak trading periods (e.g. Black Friday), with time back in lieu.

What You'll Need

Essential:

  • At least 2 years of strong, hands-on paid advertising experience, ideally in ecommerce.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Google Ads (Shopping, Performance Max, Search) and Meta Ads.
  • Experience managing substantial advertising budgets.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify, Google Merchant Center, product feeds, GA4 and conversion tracking.
  • Strong understanding of ROAS, CPA, CTR, conversion rate, attribution and profitability.
  • Ability to demonstrate ecommerce ad accounts you have personally improved or scaled.
  • Strong analytical and commercial decision-making skills, and the confidence to take daily responsibility for advertising performance.

Preferred:

  • Paid advertising experience within UK fashion ecommerce.
  • TikTok Ads experience.
  • Experience with large ecommerce product catalogues.
  • In-house ecommerce or ecommerce-focused agency background.
  • Knowledge of creative testing and conversion-rate optimisation.

Benefits

  • Discretionary performance-related bonus tied to advertising results.
  • Generous employee discount.
  • Free on-site parking and nearby transport links.
  • Casual dress.
  • Direct input into strategy in a fast-moving, growing brand.

Location and Hours

This is an on-site position and is not available remotely or on a hybrid basis. Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Newcastle upon Tyne, NE6 2XX. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5–40 hours per week.

How to Apply

Please apply with your CV and include brief examples of:

  • Ecommerce advertising accounts you have personally managed.
  • The platforms you managed and approximate level of budget responsibility.
  • The results or improvements you achieved, and your personal contribution to them.

Applications without these examples will not be shortlisted. Shortlisted applicants may be asked to complete a short practical paid advertising assessment using anonymised data.

The role is subject to a standard probationary period.

Pay: £26,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Company events
  • Discounted or free food
  • Employee discount

Application question(s):

  • How many years of hands-on paid advertising experience do you have personally managing campaigns (not overseeing an agency)?
  • What is the approximate largest monthly advertising budget you have personally managed?
  • Briefly describe one ecommerce ad account you personally improved or scaled: the platform, approximate budget, what you changed, and the result.
  • This role is fully on-site in Newcastle upon Tyne (NE6), Monday to Friday, with no remote or hybrid option. Are you able to reliably commute or relocate?
  • Which of these have you worked with hands-on? Google Shopping / Performance Max / Meta Ads / TikTok Ads / Shopify / Google Merchant Center / GA4
