About the Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our growing team in Blackpool. This internship is designed for someone looking to gain practical, hands-on experience in finance and accounting while building a foundation for a long-term career within the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance, accounting, business, or related graduate/student who already has some understanding of core accounting processes, particularly purchase ledger, sales ledger, and payroll administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with purchase ledger processing, including supplier invoices and reconciliations.
• Support sales ledger activities, including invoicing, credit control, and customer account administration.
• Assist with basic payroll administration and payroll-related record keeping.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Support bank reconciliations and data entry tasks.
• Assist with preparing financial reports and management information.
• Ensure finance records are organised and compliant with company procedures.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team.

Ideal Candidate

• Studying towards or recently completed a qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger, and payroll processes.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Comfortable working in a professional office environment.
