Using our structured curriculum and resources, you will help children develop confidence, creativity, problem-solving skills, and digital literacy in a fun and supportive environment.
You will also play an important pastoral role, ensuring every child feels welcome, safe, included, and encouraged throughout the camp experience.

- Act as a group leader, providing pastoral support and building positive relationships with children.
- Supervise children during breaks, lunch periods, and non-teaching activities.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and child protection procedures.
- Communicate professionally with parents, colleagues, schools, and camp leaders.
- Assist with camp setup, pack-down, equipment management, and general camp operations.
- Represent Code Kids with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a commitment to inspiring children every day.
Essential Requirements
- Passion for working with children and helping them learn.
- Experience working with children in an educational, childcare, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, or camp environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and reliability.
- Ability to engage and motivate groups of children.
- Positive attitude, patience, enthusiasm, and adaptability.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, Early Career Teacher (ECT), trainee teacher, or university student.
- Experience delivering workshops, lessons, clubs, camps, or enrichment activities.
- Interest in technology, coding, computer science, engineering, robotics, game design, or digital creativity.
- Experience with platforms such as Scratch, Python, Micro, robotics kits, Minecraft Education, or similar technologies.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
What We Offer

- Ready-to-use lesson plans and teaching resources.
- Ongoing professional development and mentoring.
- Competitive daily rates based on experience.
- Opportunities to progress into Senior Instructor, Camp Leader, and Programme Manager roles.
- Flexible holiday work with optional term-time after-school club opportunities.
- A rewarding and enjoyable working environment where you can inspire the next generation of creators, innovators, and problem-solvers.

- Typical hours: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
- Additional opportunities available through after-school clubs and enrichment programmes during term time.
