Full job description

Overview

As an Education Consultant, you will provide personalised academic guidance and educational support to international students, from undergraduate to PhD level. You will build strong, long-term relationships with students, understand their individual academic and career aspirations, and develop tailored learning plans to support their educational and professional development.

You will work closely with individual students or small groups, providing continuous academic mentoring, designing customised courses and supporting their transition from education into employment.

Duties

  • Provide personalised academic consultation and ongoing mentoring to international students at undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD levels.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with individual students, closely monitoring their academic progress and adapting support to their evolving needs.
  • Design structured course syllabuses, tailored learning programmes and educational materials based on students' academic backgrounds, learning objectives and individual requirements.
  • Deliver individual or small-group tutoring sessions, applying appropriate teaching methods to improve students' academic performance and learning outcomes.
  • Conduct individual consultations to understand international students' educational needs, academic challenges and career aspirations.
  • Develop customised academic development plans, including subject-specific tutoring, research skills development and postgraduate study preparation.
  • Provide employability guidance, including career planning, CV preparation, interview skills and professional development support.
  • Communicate effectively with students and families from diverse cultural backgrounds, providing multilingual support where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, learning plans, consultation outcomes and ongoing academic development.
  • Collaborate with educational institutions, tutors and other relevant partners to coordinate appropriate learning opportunities and support services.

Pay: £43,000.00-£55,520.00 per year
