What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit an Education & Governance Specialist to join our Pharmacy team, with a competitive salary range on offer up to £60,000.

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week between Monday-Friday, with weekend (1 weekend every 2 months) and night (3-4 set of night shifts per year) duties included.

Patient safety is at the heart of all our pharmacy services. At Cleveland Clinic London, we’ll be using automation, unique to the UK, digital infrastructure, secure storage systems, and bar-coded medicines administration to achieve a closed loop medicines administration system. Our Pharmacy services will enable patients to be fully involved in their own care and to make shared decisions about their treatment.

What will your duties include?

  • To support (and deputise for) the Medication Safety Officer for CCL and Governance Lead specifically with respect to medicines throughout the organisation, providing specific support for the Oncology services, developing the required medicines governance structure.

  • To ensure that educating, training, and workforce development are developed in a manner which reflects CCL objectives, national policy and initiatives.

  • Support the ongoing professional development of all Pharmacy caregivers

  • Review and maintain the relevant policies and procedures

  • To manage medicines incident reporting including dissemination of lessons learned from incident investigations.

What we need from you?

  • GPhC Registration as Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist (Essential)

  • Master’s Degree & Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (Essential if registered on the GPhC as a Clinical Pharmacist)

  • NQV3 in Pharmacy and ACT qualification (Essential if registered on the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician)

  • Practical experience in leading, developing and delivery training, education and health promotions to clinical and non-clinical stakeholders (Essential)

  • Previous experience supporting with audit schedules and audit activity including medicines safety processes (Essential)

  • Demonstrable track record supporting medication safety agenda, including review and evaluation of clinical risk and critical incidents (Essential)
