Electrical Apprenticeship jobs

Recharge Renewable is looking for an Electrical Apprentice to join our growing solar installation team.

We are ideally looking for someone who is around 2 years into their electrical apprenticeship and wants to continue developing their skills within the renewable energy industry.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and associated electrical systems, while completing your electrical apprenticeship alongside experienced installers and electricians.

The Role

You will work alongside our installation team on domestic and commercial renewable energy projects across the South West.

Your work will include:

• Assisting with solar PV electrical installations
• Installing and connecting inverters and battery storage systems
• Assisting with EV charger installations
• Cable routing, containment and electrical preparation
• Consumer unit and distribution board work under supervision
• Testing and commissioning support
• Fault finding and maintenance
• Completing installation documentation
• Working safely in accordance with company RAMS and electrical procedures
• Supporting electricians and solar installers on site

As your experience develops, you will be given increasing responsibility and the opportunity to become a fully competent renewable energy electrician.

About You

We are ideally looking for someone who:

• Is currently completing an electrical apprenticeship
• Is preferably around 2 years into their apprenticeship
• Has a genuine interest in solar, battery storage and renewable technology
• Has good practical ability and attention to detail
• Takes health and safety seriously
• Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn
• Works well as part of a team
• Communicates professionally with customers and colleagues
• Is comfortable working on different sites throughout the South West
• Holds a full UK driving licence, or is working towards one

Previous solar experience would be useful but is not essential. We are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude who wants to build a long-term career in renewables.
