Full job description

We are currently recruiting for Electrical Fitters to work at our Clients' impressive custom-built premises in Dumbarton.

This is a fantastic chance to join our Client's team on a long term temporary basis, with the view that it may lead to permanent work for the right candidates thereafter.

Suitable candidates will have an Electrical background, preferably with an Electrician's trade, however if no apprenticeship our Client will be happy to review with relevant experience or certification.

  • You'll be involved in assembly, wiring, interconnection, and inspection of DC and 3 phase AC control panels, alternators – LV, HV and MV, high horsepower engines including Gas, Diesel and HFO fuel types, MV Switchboards and HV transformers containing high voltage cabling, Battery Storage Systems, HVAC equipment including OFA compressor motors and chillers.
  • Support apprentices and pass on good learning and knowledge.
  • Accountable for ensuring own safety and reporting any deviation from safety procedures - Escalating any H&S concerns to the relevant people.
  • Working to the high-quality standards of the business and escalating quality issues when they arise.
  • Closely involved in the drive for continuous improvement on their products, taking responsibility for reducing the cost/time taken to build their products.
  • Look for opportunities to improve the quality and effectiveness of your own work and that of the team around you.

An element of flexibility is required as our Client operates 2 shift patterns days and nights and it is preferential that suitable candidates could work either.

Hours:

Dayshift : Monday to Thursday 0730-1645, Friday 0730-1230

Nightshift hours are Monday to Thursday 1900-0700.

It will be a 2 week rotation, 2 weeks dayshift then 2 weeks nightshift.
