What You Will Do

Role Overview

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring all work meets technical, safety, and quality standards across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Design and plan efficient system layouts
  • Install and commission electrical systems
  • Support site preparation including containment and equipment installation
  • Produce accurate system diagrams and documentation
  • Troubleshoot faults, connectivity issues, and system anomalies
  • Conduct testing and verification to ensure system performance
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to meet project requirements
  • Support project delivery, documentation, and case study development

Location and Hours

  • Projects primarily across the North West
  • Occasional travel and overnight stays required
  • Flexibility to work day and twilight shifts
  • Twilight shifts run 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, four nights per week with Fridays off

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in electrical design, installation, and commissioning
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and standards
  • Confident working from electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions independently
  • Valid CSCS card and strong health and safety awareness
  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills
  • NVQ or equivalent qualifications in Electrical Installation desirable

Pay: £28,594.12-£57,682.95 per year
