Full job description

If you enjoy technically demanding design work and want to be part of a major long-term programme, this could be worth a look.

This is an opportunity to work on complex EC&I design for nuclear-related infrastructure in Glasgow. You’ll be involved in work spanning HV and LV distribution, building services, control and instrumentation, and communications networks.

It’s the kind of role that suits someone who likes technically rigorous projects, high standards, and work that carries real weight.

The offer

  • 12-month contract
  • Around £50-£60 per hour Inside IR35
  • Hybrid working, minimum 2 days a week in the office
What they’re looking for You’ll likely already have experience working in a regulated sector such as nuclear, defence, or a similarly controlled engineering environment.

To be a good fit, you’ll need:
  • To be SC cleared or eligible
  • Experience supporting or delivering RIBA Stage 3 design
  • Good technical grounding across EC&I systems
  • Knowledge of HV, LV, building services, controls, instrumentation, or communications systems
  • An understanding of design governance, including risk management, assumptions control, and change management
  • The ability to contribute to technical scope documents and design change documentation
If you want EC&I work that is technically serious, project-driven, and part of something substantial, this is a strong contract to consider.
