Job Overview

VECT is recruiting experienced domestic electricians and experienced electrical mates for remedial projects.

We need practical field engineers who can work independently across varied remedial electrical repairs. Must have access to own vehicle, tools and MFT.

Previous social housing or electrical remedials experience is highly desirable.

The work

  • Electrical fault-finding and remedial repairs.
  • Replacing sockets, switches, lighting and other electrical accessories.
  • Minor wiring alterations and repairs to existing circuits.
  • Electrical works associated with kitchen and bathroom refurbishments.
  • Testing completed works and producing the appropriate certification.
  • Recording before-and-after photos and clear completion notes.
  • Attending allocated jobs, communicating progress and flagging additional works or access issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in domestic electrical repairs, remedials or maintenance.
  • Confidence working independently on existing installations.
  • Own vehicle, full driving licence and tools.
  • Access to suitable electrical test equipment.
  • Reliable attendance, tidy workmanship and safe working practices.

Previous experience working in occupied and void social housing properties is particularly desirable.

Pay

£200–£300 per day, with the rate agreed before starting based on your role, relevant experience and demonstrated ability.
