Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various facilities. Your expertise will ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of electrical infrastructure, supporting our commitment to operational excellence. This position offers an engaging opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to vital infrastructure projects. There will be travel nationally as well as on site.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical dead testing and inspection work.
  • Install, test and maintain single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
  • Install and connect fire alarm systems.
  • Complete site electrical connections and associated installation work.
  • Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs and fault-finding.
  • Undertake general electrical maintenance and installation work within our Whaley Bridge yard.
  • Travel to client sites nationwide to complete installations, connections and maintenance work.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with current electrical regulations.
  • Maintain accurate testing records and electrical documentation.
  • Represent the company professionally when working on client premises.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with electrical systems in commercial, or industrial settings.
  • Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (BS 7671).
  • Proven experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Competence in single-phase and three-phase electrical installations.
  • Experience carrying out dead testing and electrical testing procedures.
  • Experience with fire alarm systems and electrical site connections.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving and fault-finding.
  • Willingness to travel and work at client sites throughout the UK.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety and high standards of workmanship.
