Location: M4 Corridor, Southwest & Southern England
Contract type: Subcontracting
Work available: November 2026 to February 2027

About the Opportunity

City Energy Network is part of a group of companies delivering renewable energy solutions, retrofit projects and traditional heating installations, including boiler replacements.

We’ve recently secured additional work with one of our valued clients and are looking for experienced subcontract Electricians to support our heating installation teams with the electrical work required for domestic boiler replacements.

The work will primarily involve combi-to-combi and system-to-system boiler swaps, with a focus on completing the associated electrical requirements safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

We can offer a steady flow of jobs, depending on location and job requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test existing fuse spurs before installation work begins.
  • Replace existing fuse spurs where required.
  • Install new electrical circuits where necessary.
  • Carry out electrical testing and fault-finding.
  • Work collaboratively with heating engineers and installation teams.
  • Deliver professional customer service in occupied homes.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
  • Follow all relevant Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Amendment 2).
  • AM2 qualification.
  • Testing and Inspection qualification.
  • Proven experience in domestic electrical work.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Own tools, including an in-date electrical tester.
  • Own work van and ability to travel across the required areas.

  • Are you currently based within approximately one hour's travelling distance or less of any of the following locations: Exeter, Plymouth, Bristol, Bath, Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Oxford, Reading, Milton Keynes or Slough?
