Experienced Electrician – RP Slight Location: East Lothian Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent (PAYE) Salary: Competitive

About Us

At RP Slight, we're a trusted trades business serving customers across East Lothian. We take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and reliable service, and we're looking for an experienced electrician to join our growing team.

The Role

You'll be carrying out a varied range of general electrical work across domestic and commercial properties in East Lothian and the surrounding area. From installations and testing to fault-finding and maintenance, you'll enjoy a full and diverse workload with plenty of variety day to day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out electrical installations, repairs and maintenance across domestic and commercial properties
  • Testing, inspection and certification of electrical installations
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults efficiently
  • Ensuring all work complies with current Scottish building regulations and BS 7671 wiring regulations
  • Representing RP Slight professionally with customers on site

What We're Looking For

  • Fully qualified electrician (SVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Approved Electrician status or working towards Technician grade
  • Experienced in mixed/general electrical work
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations (BS 7671)
  • Inspection and Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent) desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
  • SJIB registered or eligible
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude
