Our client base includes homeowners, landlords, property professionals, businesses and commercial organisations, with an increasing focus on commercial electrical compliance and maintenance.

As part of the continued expansion of the business, we are now looking to appoint an experienced Approved Electrician to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an opportunity to join an ambitious electrical contractor with established systems, a strong existing workload and clear plans for continued growth.

The Role

Initially, the position will have a strong focus on Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), fault finding and remedial works across domestic and commercial properties.

You will be trusted to manage your own workload, represent LS Elec professionally on site and complete testing, certification and remedial works to a consistently high standard.

As the company continues to expand its commercial operations, there will be opportunities to become involved in a broader range of projects, including commercial electrical installations, planned and reactive maintenance, fire alarm systems, EV charging, Solar PV and other electrical compliance works.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm

40 hours per week

Optional weekend overtime is available.

Areas Covered

Our work is primarily carried out across:

• Peterborough (50 mile radius)

Main Responsibilities

• Carry out domestic and commercial EICRs
• Electrical inspection and testing
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults
• Complete remedial works following inspections
• Carry out electrical installation works where required
• Produce accurate electrical certification and reports
• Ensure work complies with current regulations and company standards
• Maintain excellent standards of workmanship and customer service
• Manage company equipment, materials and vehicle responsibly
• Represent LS Elec professionally when attending customers’ properties and commercial sites

Essential Requirements

Applicants must hold:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent
• ECS Gold Card
• Full UK Driving Licence

Previous experience carrying out EICRs independently is essential.

Additional Experience

Experience or qualifications in any of the following would be advantageous, although not essential:

• Commercial electrical installations
• Fire alarm systems
• Emergency lighting
• EV charging
• Solar PV
• Battery storage systems

Additional training can be provided as the role develops.
